Xena was found tangled in barbed wire, in December by a young boy. She was kept in the city centre of stray dog care for a week where she was spayed, then returned to the boys family until a foster home was found. 2 days later she caught parvovirus and was brought to the vet in a coma. She was kept there until our contact took in Lesvos took her in, she was in a terrible way and weighed only 4.8kg.
She has now had her paralysed leg amputated and is making great progress.
Xena is a sweet dog, who is now learning how to be affectionate with people, she loves a cuddle! She appears to not had any love before and was used to eating scraps of food. She loves people, is learning fast and becoming a playful and happy dog, although still unsure of how to show affection to humans.
She’s not too keen on loud noises or heavy traffic, but she loves a ride in the car and a good walk.
She would be suited to a home in a fairly rural area. If you are interested in rehoming her, please get in touch.
