Tripoli has had the most miserable life imaginable. Her entire existence has been spent living behind the bars of an awful cage (see final photo) until she was finally abandoned by her 'owner' at a local pound. Tripoli is in poor condition and we will be sure to give her the vet care and weight gain she needs. It's likely she'll still need to gain weight in her new home, but at least we can start getting her where she needs to be. Tripoli is estimated to be around 2 years old and as far as we're aware, a purebred Doberman.

Every day of her life has been spent in a cage and she's been totally neglected. Her ears have been poorly cropped leaving her with one standing tall and the other drooping. Despite being ignored, unloved and starved for most of her life Tripoli is still very loving and trusting with people. She walks quite well on the lead considering her background, and as far as we can tell she seems to be good with other dogs. She's still learning as being in a shelter alongside lots of other dogs is so different to what she has been used to, and her neglect has meant she's not as socialised as we would have hoped, but she's doing really well.

Tripoli has been introduced to children and responded really well. She loves attention and is affectionate and gentle. In the right home with the right level of care we think Tripoli will really blossom and develop into a loyal, trainable companion. Tripoli has so far had nothing but misery in her life, so we are looking for a really special home for her. She would be best suited to a home in a rural environment with a garden, an owner with a level of experience with either the breed, larger dogs, or abused dogs, and we would like her to have an active lifestyle in her new home.
