At Wild at Heart Foundation, we fund and support animal welfare projects all over the world. In particular, we aim to reduce the world's 600 million stray dog population. We do this by organising and sponsoring rescue projects, neutering programmes, awareness campaigns and education initiatives. 100% of the funds we raise go directly to the projects we support.
The UK benefits from having laws and rules in place that mitigate animal welfare issues. In 2006 the Animal Welfare Act was revised and improved. Many of the projects we support are international, in countries where there is little governmental support for animal welfare or no infrastructure to monitor or manage animal care issues in humane ways. That is why we tend to support these projects as they are in such desperate need of both financial and moral support.
If you are a person or organisation that works in one of these areas then we may be able to help you. We know that raising funds and finding support is a major effort for small charities and welfare projects, and that this can take you away from the amazing work that you do to support animals in distress and need.
