Poppy was found roaming the streets of South Sudan at around 2 months old with two other puppies from the litter. She was adopted and eventually brought back to the UK in January 2017. Poppy has been very good with her adopters baby, however, now she is getting older Poppy's owners are concerned she is not gentle enough for the child and have therefore made the sad decision to find Poppy a new home.
Poppy is incredibly loyal, loving, inquisitive, fun, and characterful. Poppy loves being stroked, tickle tums, walks (and doing lots of sniffing on them), playing with people and fellow dogs, and chewing on bones. She’s smart, listens to commands and enjoys learning. Among the commands she knows, ‘sit’ is her very best. Her ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘heel’ and ‘leave it’ have come on very well. Poppy’s quite timid of new things, for example when a big bird flew into the garden she hid under the car. Poppy can take a while to get to know people and can be defensive in the home, but once she does she's the most loyal and loving dog.
