Lincoln was rescued as a puppy from Cyprus where he had been abandoned. We're unsure of Lincoln's past experiences but sadly he is struggling in his current home and we need to help him find a new family. At present Lincoln is living in Enfield, North London, and we are hoping to find him a new home in a more rural environment in order to help him feel more settled.

Lincoln is still a fairly young dog and needs someone with experience, patience, and a desire to train. He shows absolute devotion to his current owners and adores them, but he is fearful of people he doesn't know. Lincoln doesn't trust strangers and it takes time for this to be earned. This may well stem from his background and abandonment.

Lincoln displays his distrust in people as fear aggression and will lunge, bark and nip. We recommend that a in order for Lincoln to overcome his fears he is rehomed alongside another confident but calm dog that he can follow in the footsteps of. He shows unconditional love for his immediate family but there's still a lot of work to be done in helping him trust other people. He would be best suited to a home with a secure garden in a fairly quiet area. He needs an understanding owner who has no expectations and will allow Lincoln to adjust in time. Our behaviourist will be on hand to provide support, advice and reassurance throughout the adoption so you will not be alone.
