Lily was found as a stray in Cyprus by a lovely lady who does fund-raising for the Cyprus dogs as often as she can. As soon as she saw Lily struggling in the heat, desperately seeking out shade and water, she knew she had to coax her into her care and take her to the safety of a shelter. In 40 degree summer heat the dogs are susceptible to heatstroke if they can't cool themselves down.
Lily is estimated to be around 7-8 months old and she's on the smaller side of medium, quite a typical Beagle size. She is friendly with everyone she meets and when she's loving being cuddled she goes squinty eyed! Lily is good with other dogs and has a calm, gentle nature. She is good with children and small enough to sit on your lap, which of course she is a big fan of!
Lily would make a lovely companion. She would be best suited to a home in a semi-rural area with a moderately active lifestyle. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would be happy in a home with a dog of a similar character to her, but this isn't compulsory. As long as there's cuddles in abundance Lily will be happy!
