Country of Origin: Originally from Romania, now in the U.K.
Leo is in urgent need of a foster family as, despite being settled in the U.K. for a few years, has recently become very stressed out within the home due to the arrival of a family baby.
Leo was found as part of a young litter in a cemetery in Romania. He was then rescued and adopted by his current adopters when he was 6 months old.
Leo is very sweet but nervous. He is anxious around busy places and traffic but loves walking and particularly loves walking in the countryside where it is quiet. He adores cuddles but also quiet time on his own.
Once properly introduced he is very happy with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He is very good in the house, suffers no separation anxiety but unfortunately, is just not coping with the new arrival of the family baby. He is a much loved family dog but unfortunately the hard decision has been made that they need to give him up to a home that is more suitable and less stressful for him.
Leo would ideally need an experienced foster carer, who is willing to help him work on his anxiety through lots of positive reinforcement and build up his confidence. Leo would love to go to at least a semi-rural area to be able to thrive and live a quiet, peaceful life with lots of lovely country walks. He would be best suited to a home without young children but would benefit from a home with another older dog that can help build up his confidence.
If you are able to provide temporary foster care, or a foster with a view to adopt, we would be very grateful if you could get in touch with us and we can give you some more information about Leo!
