Poor George is having such a hard time in the shelter. Ever since he was rescued he has bullied by the other dogs and spends the majority of his time sleeping on top of a disused car so the others can't get to him. It's miserable to see him struggling, but there is nowhere for him to go unless he is offered a home.
George was found as a stray roaming about in the mountains, likely dumped by a hunter. He was skeletal and so shy. He is a submissive character and gets along well with other dogs, but his gentle nature makes him a target for more dominant personalities.
George would love a home in a semi-rural area where he has a garden and can run, play and explore to his heart's content. We hope that before too long a family will come along for George and offer him the love he's been missing out on. Just by looking at George's eyes you can feel that he knows he's unwanted and it's heartbreaking. George is still nervous in character and needs a home with another dog so he can follow their lead. He's never had a home before so becoming a companion will be an overwhelming experience for George and another dog would give him a little bit more confidence.
