Believe it or not Daisy was abandoned in a park by a woman with her child, who proceeded to drive off leaving little Daisy incredibly confused and frightened. She watched the car drive off before panicking and whining - it breaks your heart to think about how she must have felt. All this was witnessed by someone living locally and later reported to the police. However, because Daisy didn't have a microchip it couldn't be proven that she had ever belonged to someone and the woman in question denied abandoning her.
Daisy was in shock when she arrived in the shelter. Everything had changed for her and it took a few days for her to relax and realise that the people caring for her were trustworthy and friendly. Now she's settled into shelter life her confidence has really improved and she's an incredibly affectionate little thing. She's very happy and loves being cuddled. Anyone would be lucky to have this girl in their lives.
Daisy would make a lovely companion either for a family or someone looking for a loyal best friend. She gets on very well with other dogs and is particularly sociable with puppies. She gets along with the resident cats at the shelter and she's great with children too. It still baffles us that she was ever abandoned, but we're determined to find her the home she deserves with a family who will love her.
