Congratulations: you’re one step closer to welcoming your new dog home! To pay your adoption deposit or balance, please use the form below.
Please note: you will be sent a receipt of your payment to the email address you provided during checkout. Please make sure to check all spam folders if you cannot see your receipt.
Wild at Heart Foundation does not charge anything for the dog you choose to adopt; the adoption fee simply covers the cost of vaccinations and micro-chipping, arranging transport and all onward travel.
We rely on the generosity of our adopters to help keep the rehoming team running and to ensure that we can continue to rescue and care for those dogs who are not yet lucky enough to have found their forever home. We would be so grateful if you would consider adding a donation to your final balance to allow us to continue our overseas rescue mission.
Alternatively, you can pledge your support to Wild at Heart Foundation by setting up a monthly donation which provides us with an invaluable means of funding our ongoing overseas work.
We are an organisation solely funded by donations, and are therefore incredibly grateful for any amount you are able to give to rescue a dog from an impoverished and neglected life.
Thank you x
1. Confirming your dog’s transport
Our Adoption Team will now begin booking your dog’s transportation and will ensure that all paperwork is in place to allow them to travel. We will be in touch as soon as we have details about your dog’s rehoming date, journey details and approximate times.
2. Join the Wild at Heart Foundation community
Congratulations! You’re now a part of our adopters network. We know that you’ll be impatient to meet your new pet, and that you’ll probably want to get your hands on as much information as possible to help you prepare for your new arrival.
We’ll add you to our private Facebook group, an invaluable online forum where our adopters - old and new - share stories and photos, ask questions and offer advice. Our adopters are a brilliant bunch who are always happy to give first-hand support for all soon-to-be-adopters.
You can subscribe to our mailing list to receive all the latest updates, news and stories from Wild at Heart Foundation
3. Your dog’s journey begins
On the day of travel, your dog will be couriered by a expert animal transportation company who will care for your pet every step of the way. We only work with partners who meet our exacting welfare standards, and all our transport providers love dogs just as much as we do. Where possible, we will share a link with you on the day of travel so you can track your dog’s progress!
4. They’re here!
The moment you’ve been waiting for! Most of our dogs arrive in the UK by van; the van will make its way up the country and you will usually pick the dog up from your nearest collection point (often a service station). Some animal courier companies are able to deliver the dog to your home; they will give you an estimated time/date although this is likely to vary due to traffic. If your dog has a direct flight you will pick them up from the Animal Reception Centre at the airport stated. We ask you to be flexible and keep the whole day free as you may only be given collection details 24 hours in advance. Journeys are subject to delays so please be patient, you will only have to make this journey once (unless of course you decide to adopt another dog from us!).
5. We’re always here to help
We’ll be in regular contact with you during your first few months of adoption, but we’re here to help whenever you need us. If you’re struggling with something or simply need some advice, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We work with a behaviourist who can provide expert support, advice and in-person sessions as needed, and our adopters community is a great place to share stories, seek advice and lend an ear.
We consider our Wild at Heart Foundation dogs and their adopters to be part of our family, and are proud to have an extended pack of thousands throughout the country. We are always here for you - and we love to see how you and your dog are coming along. Do get in touch with your stories and photos, and tag us in your Instagram posts.
Thank you for choosing to believe in a dog in need and to adopt through Wild at Heart Foundation. We look forward to welcoming you into our community and to seeing your dog settle into its wonderful new life. Thank you.
