Coffee was surrendered by her owners and handed into a local shelter after she grew 'too big'. For a few months she knew the feeling of being indoors and being loved, but it was all over in the blink of an eye and now she's living in a shelter with dozens of other dogs. Coffee is a very calm and gentle dog who deserves so much more. Although she can be initially nervous with new people she likes human companionship and would enjoy a fairly active lifestyle in a semi-rural environment.
Coffee is friendly with people and other dogs. She is used to living in close proximity of lots of other animals and loves to greet volunteers when they visit the shelter. It’s a shame she’s been ignored for such a long time as she would make a lovely companion.
Despite growing too big, Coffee isn't the giant she was made out to be. Around the size of a Labrador, she's ideal for someone looking for a dog to keep up with their routine and enjoy outings and adventures. She will need a little patience as she's been overlooked for quite some time now, so will have forgotten what it's like to be a pet. We have no major concerns about Coffee's ability to settle into a home environment and the sooner she gets this chance, the better.
