Bella is currently in foster care in London. She will be undergoing treatment for her legs within the next few weeks, but would love to have a forever home waiting for her once her recovery is complete.
Bella is one of our Super Six - the six Lebanese street dogs who we'll be bringing home over the next few months. Bella was thrown from a second story apartment when she was a puppy, suffering a broken jaw and and breaking her two front legs. She can walk at the moment but, as you can see from the pictures, Bella needs expert treatment if she's ever going to find moving around comfortable again.
Bella was living in truly atrocious conditions and we needed to get her out of the country urgently, which is why she flew to London on 12th May at the earliest opportunity where a foster home was waiting for her.
The pound Bella was in is small, overcrowded and scary, and she was subject to some of the worst animal welfare conditions we’ve ever seen. Whilst she was there, Bella gave birth to two puppies - both of whom died soon after birth.
Despite everything she’s been through, Bella is a sweet girl with a gentle, laid-back nature. She just wants to love and be loved. She is getting along well with her current foster’s existing dog and, we believe her docile nature would make her suitable for a family with both other dogs and/or children. Prospective owners would be able to arrange a meeting in London if interested in introducing other dogs or children.
Bella will be undergoing surgery in order to straighten out her two broken front legs as it's important that we make her comfortable again as soon as we're able to. As with all our rescues who've suffered severe trauma, we are committed to providing dedicated aftercare for Bella. If you'd like to enquire about Bella please submit your interest for adoption.
