Sandy has spent much of her life caged up in a private shelter. The word 'shelter' should be used loosely however, as really she was confined to an overcrowded kennel lined with urine soaked straw and fed mouldy bread. Whenever people went past the door of the kennel complex she lived in she would desperately stick her head under the door, seeking affection and love. It was heartbreaking to witness. She had no access to veterinary care but thankfully when she was finally rescued from the confines of the shelter the vet declared her fit and healthy.
Sandy has spent far too long being neglected and overlooked when she could be part of a family receiving love, care and lots of attention. She is made to be a companion, and is trusting and loyal despite her lengthy mistreatment. She has a great nature and a loving, gentle disposition. Sandy is now in the care of a foster home where she is being looked after until a family come forward to adopt her. She is well socialised with other dogs and friendly with children, so she would be ideal for a family looking for a four legged friend.
The person who adopts Sandy will be the first person to show her what it's like to be valued as a companion. She deserves so much and yet has been wasting away behind bars for at least a year. Now she's out we want her to find a fantastic home where she can be showered with the love she craves.
