Unfortunately Poppy is looking for a new home as she is really struggling to settle in her current environment. At the moment she is living in the middle of a busy city and the amount of stimuli is too overwhelming for her, eliciting negative behaviours when she feels uncomfortable.
Poppy is fantastic indoors however. She is very obedient, affectionate and fully house trained. She is smart and responds well to clicker training and is great with visitors. She gets excited to see people and loves attention. Outdoors Poppy is not so good. She is anxious with dogs when she goes for a walk and tries to defend herself, becoming very stressed and upset. This is difficult for both her and her current owners to deal with, and we believe she will be much more suited to a calmer, more quiet environment.
Poppy loves interacting with humans and adores a belly rub. In a safe, enclosed outdoor environment off the lead she is full of character and really enjoys running about and playing. Typical of the French Bulldog breed, Poppy does test her boundaries and needs a firm, disciplined owner who will challenge her efforts to push her luck. For the most part she is obedient and eager to please though.
When Poppy first arrived in the UK she had some food aggression issues but her current owners have continued to work on this and it is now under control. Poppy will now only eat until she feels full even if there is food left in her bowl.
All of Poppy's vaccinations are up to date and she is neutered and in good health. She needs to find a new home ideally by April 6th, and is currently living in London (N1). If you would like to visit Poppy or apply to adopt her please get in touch.
