Lily is a beautiful girl who was found as a stray and struggled terribly to settle into the kennel space she was allocated. As she lost weight from stress the decision was made to find a her a foster home, and since then she has make good progress. Lily is a very nervous dog who would need a very patient, calm, understanding and committed owner. Since Lily went into foster she has bonded exceptionally well with her carers, but she is scared of strangers and it takes her a while to trust people. Lily is also scared of men and takes time to accept them. She is in no way aggressive, just frightened.
Lily is great with other dogs and would definitely need a home with other confident characters. She likes to play and cuddle with other dogs, and she is also good with puppies. Lily is good with cats and gets excited when they pay her attention. Because of her breed mix both of which have a naturally nervous disposition, there will always be things that make Lily anxious that no amount of desensitisation will overcome. However, with time and patience she will become more accepting and confident of the things that presently scare her, she just needs to be given that chance.
Lily would be best suited to a home in an quiet area with nice surrounding areas for walks. She loves being outside and is already fully housetrained. She loves her meal times and walks well on the lead. She also enjoys car rides and doesn't seem particularly phased by traffic, but by no means would we advise a home in central London or on a busymain road.
