Johnny was surrendered by his previous family after their circumstances changed and they could no longer look after him. They were heartbroken to have to give him up and had provided him with great care prior to having to rehome him. Johnny is so confused now he's living in the shelter. He's known love and comfort, so to now sleep on a cold concrete floor and share living quarters with dozens of other dogs has left him feeling withdrawn and anxious. We're hoping it won't be long before Johnny is offered a second chance, and he will emerge from his shell once again.
Some people are convinced dogs don't have emotions, but Johnny has cried ever since being left behind at the shelter. He's so confused and lonely without a family, but he would make almost anyone so happy as he's an adaptable, easygoing and very friendly little dog with a big heart and a loving nature. Johnny is friendly with other dogs, good with children and relatively calm, meaning he doesn't need an energetic lifestyle. He is very people orientated and would slot into a family home just fine - he's so lovable, please someone give him a chance!
