Handsome Foxy was rescued from a public shelter where he had been dumped by the local dog catchers. Luckily,Foxy only had to experience the poverty of the shelter for about a month before he was spotted by a rescuer and offered a space in a foster home. Foxy was so grateful for his chance to leave and hasn't stopped thanking his rescuers - he greets them with sloppy canine kisses on a daily basis!
Foxy is a big, bouncy boy and for this reason we insist that he goes to a home with older children only. He means no harm but could easily knock a small child over and this could be overwhelming. Foxy is energetic and would be ideal for someone looking for a partner to go on adventures with. He could easily keep up with a cyclist and would love to climb mountains, explore rivers and run through fields. He's the dog version of Bear Grylls. Foxy is also great on the lead and incredibly affectionate - he wants nothing more than to love and to be loved in return.
Foxy doesn't get along with other large, dominant males, but this might lessen as he has only just been neutered and therefore testosterone levels are still high, as are adrenaline levels in all the environments he's so far experienced. Having a home of his own will be completely new, and we believe Foxy will become much calmer and more content when he understands he's in a safe, secure and long term home.
