Carrie was found by the side of the road. It's not known if she was abandoned or not but she looked like she was waiting for someone that just never came. She was apprehensive to go with the people who rescued her but finally got in the car after she seemed to accept that whoever she was waiting for wasn't going to show up. Despite efforts to reunite Carrie with a potential owner, no one ever came forward to collect her. She is a beautiful, unique looking girl and we'd love to see her find the home she deserves.
Carrie is currently being cared for in a shelter environment where she is socialising on a day to day basis with lots of other dogs. She is friendly with them but prefers dogs of a similar size and temperament to herself. She is quite a submissive dog and has a gentle nature. Carrie would be best suited to a calm home in a semi-rural environment as she can get spooked by sudden loud noises. She enjoys going for walks and is a small size.
Carrie is a quiet dog and likes to observe situations before getting involved in them. We think she would prefer a home without young children as the noise might make her uncomfortable. She would love a home with a nice garden and would be happy to be rehomed with other dogs. She is a sweet, affectionate girl, who needs a little time to adjust. Since being rescued she has already gained confidence and is much friendlier than before now she feels more secure.
