Bart and his sister, Lisa, were found on the streets desperately searching for food. They were so skinny and their sorry little faces were so scared that the person who discovered them couldn't even try to turn a blind eye. She picked them up and took them to safety. They are both now in the care of a secure shelter where they will be cared for until they can find their forever homes.
Bart is still quite nervous in his new environment and isn't sure what to make of it. We're not sure how long the puppies were on the street for but Bart clearly hasn't experienced a great deal of love from the human race before and is still a little apprehensive to trust, which is understandable. As he experiences more positive associations he will become more confident. Bart is a beautiful dog and we expect him to grow to be on the smaller side of mediums an adult. He has slightly longer legs than his sister, but a slim, athletic frame.
Bart would prefer a home in a semi-rural environment and might enjoy the company of another dog with a similar character to his. This will also help him to come out of his shell more quickly and confidently. With time and patience we think that Bart will blossom into a very loving, friendly and playful soul but he just needs time, consistency, and someone to offer him a chance.
